Is it a seagull or is it a pigeon?

I know that some cities are plagued by pigeons and some of their coastal cousins are blighted by seagulls but in San Diego I saw what looked like a cross breed between the two.

Humanity beware….

Seagull. Probably a young one. Or a fucked-up one.

Thats what I thought but as it was December I though it was out of breeding season. So I settled on the fact that it was a mix. An evil mix.

I saw one today, it was smaller than a seagull but longer and slimmer. It was mainly white but a pigeons grey head and some colour to wing tips.
